Previously, Donald Trump showcased his close relationship with Benjamin Netanyahu, when he hosted the Prime Minister at Mar-a-Lago, his Florida resort, on Friday, July 26, 2024. Trump also stated that U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris made “disrespectful” remarks about Gaza after Harris urged Netanyahu to quickly reach a ceasefire agreement.

Netanyahu met with Trump a day after having discussions with U.S. President Joe Biden and Harris. Trump criticized Harris, who firmly voiced her concerns about the high number of Palestinian civilians killed in Israel’s military operation in Gaza that has been ongoing since October 7, 2023. “I think her remarks were disrespectful,” said Trump, as reported by Reuters.
